So, Jailynn is a couple days shy from being 14 months. She doesn't weigh 20 lbs yet. She has 2 teeth on the bottom and 1 1/2 showing on the top. They aren't all the way in yet. She is very good at saying no and shaking her head. When she wants something out of the fridge she repeats mommy and trys to pull on the door. Most of the time she doesn't even know what she wants from in there, she just wants to look. I am so excited to take her to Fort Smith for christmas. I want to take her on the train at the park to see all the lights. She is a little older this time, so hopefully she won't be so clingy when we are around family. When her cousin Kadence came here they played so when we get there we will stay with her and Sara. YAY!!! I will have to take some more pictures before we go since it is in the upper 80s here still. She loves to go outside and pick up dirt, rocks and anything else she can find. She is so much fun and we can't wait for the next one to get here!!

Our little mess!!

I decided that it was time to cut Jailynns hair so that it could all grow evenly. The top was much longer than the back. She did very well with her daddy holding her. She had her check up yesterday, but I knew she wasn't feeling well. Turns out she has an ear infection, not just a cold like I thought. This could be the reason that she has been extrememly cranky!! She did not have a fever though. She ended up getting 4 shots and some medicine.

Here are a few pics of her!

Nothing lately.....

I haven't posted in a couple weeks. I guess I have been a little busy. I am not to sure what with, just things I guess. We are all doing well though. Even the baby. We had an appointment today and things are doing just fine. It is still a boy and he is still growing like crazy.
Gerry and I had the stomach flu last week, but ever since then I have been eating like crazy. I don't know what it did to me, but I just can't get enough to eat this week. Maybe it is a good thing though. We will see. I do need to take some belly pictures though since I am showing now. It was almost an over night thing. I had a little bump, but nothing major and then all of a sudden it got big. We only have about 15 weeks left though. We have decided to name him Grant Alan Olds.

What have you been up to?

Well......Sunday was Jailynns 1st birthday. That was fun. We had a little cup cake for her and she got it everywhere of course. She likes the chair that she got. Now she doesn't have to try and climb the couch. She is so cute and we love her so much. We took video and not picstures so that is why I don't have any to post right now.

Monday we had an appt. for an ultrasound. Everything is measuring fine on the baby. We also found out that we are having a boy. We don't have a name yet. I think that will come shortly though.

It has been fun having my family here. Gerry and I got to get out by ourselves last night. It was so nice to be able to talk to each other and not have to be preoccupied with Jailynn. Today Gerry will be going through the temple for the first time. We are looking forward to that. Thanks to the Melissa and the Osborne kids Jailynn will be having fun too. We don't leave her very often, but when we do I try find somewhere she will distracted because she walks around and looks for us. My parents say it is cute when she does.
I will take some pictures and post them soon!!

Excited!

I am so ready for this weekend! My family is coming into town for a little while. I have things that I need to do, but I am just too excited. I will try and take lots of pics since I didn't take very many in June when we went to Arkansas. I just hope it isn't too hot for them right now. Back home it is nice right now. Oh well....I will try not to keep them too busy running errands with me.

Our little girl is getting so big. She is getting more beautiful everyday as well! I love her curls and her blue eyes. She will be a year old in about 2 weeks. I can't believe it!

Gerry made his appointment at the temple to receive his endowments. I am so happy for him! He will be going through Sept 23rd. It will be the 5 pm session. We would for everyone who can make it to join us.

So I go to change the laundry and come back to find this. Look at that evil face.

This girl knows how to make a mess out of nothing though. We still love her though.

Hot, but we had water!!

I took Jailynn to the splash park today with some other moms from our ward. We have been there before and she didn't like it to much. I know that she enjoys the water now, but today she was being so daring. She would walk right up to the spout and stick her face right in the water and then laugh. I caught her trying to take a drink too. Can you say YUCK!!! I do think that the water at the park is way cooler that the water that comes out of our faucets at home though. It was nice to get out though and enjoy being away from the house.

I think that she was having alot of fun today. That is why she is sleeping right now though. At least I get to update the blog huh?

Not for me!!

Well, I don't think that 3 kids are for me. Espically when I have not been taking care of them very long. It is hard when you have to change 3 kids diapers and feed them all too. I think it would be different if they were mine, but they aren't.

Gerry and I got to go to the temple and do some baptism last night. It was fun and exciting to be able to do this with him for the first time. It was very different from when I was a youth, but the purpose was still the same.

I took this picture yesterday of Jailynn and I. I can't believe she will be 1 in just a few short weeks!! I will have to take some more before then.

3 KIDS!!!

I survived my first day of having 3 kids today. Omar is 2, Ava is about 5 months and then Jailynn who is 11 months. Yes, this means they are all still in diapers. All I have to say is WOW!!! It wasn't that bad though. Ava is teething so she is fussy at times and Jailynn gets a little jealous when I hold her. Omar is all boy. Throwing toys from one end of the house to the other and then not wanting to pick them up. Go figure. We will see how the rest of the week goes. The first day is always the hardest right? I am just glad that I can help this family as well as them helping us. I will have to take a picture of all three tomorrow. They are a cute bunch.

FUN!!

So today I had some ladies from the ward over for lunch. We have a recipe exchange once a month. The theme was pasta of course....my favorite!! It was fun to get together with the ladies that came. Since Gerry and I serve in primary I do not see some of them very often. In our ward there are quite a few stay at home moms and it still amazes me at how few get together. I know that people have things to do, but I know that everyone eats lunch right. Anyhow....to the ones that did come I am thankful for. Everyone gets nervous when something is at their own house that nobody will show up. At least I get a little nervous about that!! The other part that is fun about getting together with the women in the ward is that the kids can play together and get to know each other as well and not just in a church environment. I have to admit that this is the first recipe exchange that I have been to, but I know that it won't be the last. I am also going to try to go to more of the events that we have in our ward. It is refreshing to get a break from the same daily routine!!!! I know that some of you will agree with that! A big thanks again to those that came and I hope that more will show interest in upcoming events that are planned for the sisters in our ward!!!!

We had another dr. apt. yesterday and everything is looking good with the baby. We are already right at 14 weeks. We get to find out what it is and make sure that all the measurements are good in Sept. I am so excited. After that we will have to pick some names! Not to sure on those yet. We will have to find one be both like. The first one was easy....now for the second.

August Already???

So, Jailynn loves to eat. Here she is with a face to prove it.

Her new favorite thing is to climb and see where she can go. The only problem is that she can't quite get down on her own yet. She is getting there though.

For someone so small, she sure does seem big. To be so close to a year old and not 20lbs yet seems crazy to me. Everyone asks me if she is a year because she is walking. When I say no they seemed shocked like she is the only child that has walked before a year old. She is a very independent little girl though. When she is walking in a public place she wants nothing to do with us. She won't even hold our hand. She tells us to stop already. Even though she can't fully say the word, we know what she is saying and when we say no you stop, she gets quiet. It is funny!!

Well, I am about 12 weeks pregnant now and still feeling tired. Hopefully that will pass. Other than that everything seems to fine. I am sure that we will find out the gender within the next 2 months. Gerry is hoping for a boy this time, but still thinks it will be a girl. We will see though.

We are still waiting to go to the temple, but I know that it will happen shortly. Hopefully we will be able to go in September. At least that is what we are planning for at the moment.

Another week has come and gone....

Gerry got to baptize Sister Velma Simpson on Saturday. It was so neat to see him do this. I love that he is growing within the church and willing to do more and more. I love watching him pass the sacrament and performing his priesthood duties. He has come such a long way and I love him more and more everyday! How lucky I am to have such a wonderful husband who has loved me through all the rough times.

Summer is definately here. I do not like the heat at all. Jailynn and I try to stay in as much as possible. When we do get out it is to go somewhere where there is air conditioning or water. Jailynn loves to go to her gym class each week. It is fun for me to watch her explore and play with the other kids.
Sometimes she will just sit somehwere or be walking around talking away. We have no idea what she is saying, but she thinks she is saying something. It is so funny to just watch her sometimes. She now will dissapear on us and we have to go looking for because when we call her she doesn't respond. When she dissapears that is the only time besides when she is sleeping that she is quiet. I am telling you this girl has so much to say!!!
