What a weekend!!

Hey.....now that I am back home, I can get caught up on the blog. We went to Arkansas this last week for a few days. We had fun! We left on Sat. morning and got to Fort Smith about 3:30pm. We then went to my sisters reception and saw alot of people. Jailynn did not like this that much. She did like playing with her cousin though. They were so cute. Jailynn just didn't like that everyone was trying to hold her and the fact the we flew out of Phoenix at 5 am did not help. Anyway, we still had a good time. I just would liked to have stayed a little longer. I didn't get to see and talk to everyone that I wanted to. I also didn't take as many pictures as I should have. I had the camera with me, but never got it out after the first night. Silly me!!! Maybe I can get some pictures from my dad and grandmother. They were taking lots! The reception was beautiful! Mom did such a great job along with everyone that helped! I wish I could have been there to help more. I did get a dance with my dad though. We of course cried. I am so grateful for my parents and everything that they have done!

On Monday night we went to the house that my parents are fixing up and then going to move in to. We all went swimming and had pizza. The water was FREEZING!!!! Jailynn loved it so much though that When I wanted to get her out because she was shivering, she threw the biggest fit I have ever seen. Let me remind you that she is only 9 months. You would have thought she was 2 or 3 the way she acting!! Oh well, I am sure there will be many more!!

While we were there Gerry was ordained with the Melchizedek priesthood. This was exciting for our family. This means that we are another step closer to being able to be sealed. We are looking forward to this occasion! I know that it will be so exciting to know that we can be a family forever! Besides, my parents will get to come see Jailynn for a while. She finally get used to them on the 3rd day.

The pictures are as follows....top, dad and Laura....Jailynn....Garon and Laura with cake....Jailynn again.

I also wanted to thank everyone for the congrats!! I am starting to get more excited about it! I am trying to switch insurance plans right now though. I found out that I can do this and not have to go to the base. This means less out of pocket expense since they do not have pediatrics and maternity care at the base. I am very excited about this!!!!

Well.....

Have you ever wanted something but then when it happened you had second thoughts? Well....this has happened to me today. I knew that I wanted another child, but I was not sure when other than before Gerry retires. I guess that I now know when. I have extremely mixed emotions right now. I am happy, nervous, and scared all at the same time. What am I going to do with two little ones? I guess that everything happens for a reason and I am grateful that I have a loving husband and a wonderful daughter already. I am not the best at breaking news to people. After I took the test, I walked Gerry to the bathroom to see. He did not know that I was taking it. He said why can't you just say it? I was just stunned that it actually said pregnant I guess. He did say that he would be ecstatic if it was a boy though, but he doesn't think that this will happen. I guess we will see!!! I am so grateful for my loving family and I am so excited to see them this coming weekend!! I love you guys!!!

YEAH!!!!

Okay.....So I went to the AZ board of cosmetology web site and found out that I have an active licence!!! I am so excited. This means that I passed both the test and am ready to start working. It is such a relief! I guess I did not have test anxiety that bad. I just remember how it was a few years ago. So, when I find a place that I will be happy working at I will let everyone know. I can't wait to get started!!!! Thank you to all of those that helped me along the way. I could not have done it without you guys!! Suzy....you were such a blessing!! My mom and dad were there for me from the beginning! My husband always said that he believed in me and he has now seen me finish something I started!!

Ready for the weekend!!

okay, so it is now Friday!!!! YAY!!!! This past week had been fun and crazy all at the same time! I am helping a friend this summer by watching their two girls...no big deal right? Well, I don't think that I have ever been asked as many questions as I was asked this past week. The are awesome girls though!!! I think that they just wanted to figure things out. They love playing with Jailynn and Rusty. I think Rusty would rather sleep all day though. He doesn't get that luxury anymore though. Today I will take Jailynn to gym and then to get some pictures mad, maybe....I have an appt, but I think that I might cancel it and get the taken at a different place. I am still waiting to see if I passed my practical exam. I am so anxious to find out. Gerry is still working somewhat long hours. So he is usually tired and ready to sleep when he gets home. I think that this situation will get better over the next couple of weeks. We are so excited to go to Arkansas on the 21st. Well, at least I am....I think Gerry is, just not as much. Anyway, I think that we have an amazing time and we will be one step closer to having the opportunity to be sealed. YAY!!! I can't wait!! It is so hot here so it will be nice to have some change in weather. Maybe it will rain and storm a little while we are there. I miss the thunderstorms!! I guess that is all for now.....

Trying to make it!!

Well, here we are in Phoenix and have been for almost two years now. It just seems that sometimes things are harder than they should be. Sometimes I catch myself thinking and asking what am I doing here. For a little while there was no family here, Shannon is out here now though. I know that we are not that close, but it is still nice to know I am not out here alone. I have become friends with some of the ladies in the ward and thiat is helping things, but there will always be issues. Oh well, I have learned to just take one day at a time and be grateful for the experiences that I have. I am working on getting Gerry and myself to the temple to be sealed and someimes it is so frustrating!!! I have been waiting on our bishop to help with mt sealing cancelation and it is taking FOREVER!!! I am not sure if the letter and paperwork has even been sent to the First Presidency yet. We are attending the temple prep class though. I know that things take time and not in my time. I just wish it would happen a little faster.

Jailynn is going so fast!!! I can't believe she is almost 9 months. I finished school and tool both of the test, so now I waiting to see if I passed the practical. I think that I will find somthing a few nights a week for some extra $$$$. I will wait until Gerry gets home from work so that we will not have to find a babysitter. I think that I done venting and should probably get some rest since Jailynn likes to eat throughout the night still. If anyone has any suggestions on that issue, please feel free to let me know. I already give her ceral and have her on a scheduke, but she still wants to eat. Oh well.....I think she still only weighs like 17 pounds. Rusty is 2 of her. That is her dog by the way.....that is the first thing she looks for when she wakes in the morning or from a nap. It is too cute!!!
