One week home

Grant has made it a week being at home. He is so good. He only fuses when he is hungry. He looks around and when you talk he will turn his head. Here are some pictures we have taken over the last week.

Jailynn is warming up to him and when you ask where is Grant, she will point to him. Hopefully we will keep taking pictures.

Introducing Grant Alan Olds

This was the first time that I got to see him other than for a quick sec right when he was born. I had to wait a day and a half!
The nurses that gave him a bath spiked his hair. It was cute.

Here he is today....snoozing away. I think he likes being at home. He is eating much more and seems to be relaxed.
I am so glad that we are home now. I think that Jailynn is too. She still won't touch him, but she will wave to him and say hi. She looks so big next to him. She is about 20 to 25 pounds and Grant is just under 6 pounds. It is funny to think that Jailynn was that small when she was born too. Rusty is just here. He doesn't really care about too much as long as he is getting fed.
Thank you to Brenda, Leslea and Lauren for all your help this week with Jailynn!
Thank you to all those that have brought meals and will be bringing them. It is greatly appreciated! We are so lucky to have made such good friends here in Phoenix!

Well Grant was born Jan. 20, 2009. He had to stay in hospital for a few extra days. That is why I haven't posted any pictures yet. I plan on doing that tomorrow. As for now, everything is good. No more sleepness nights nights driving between home and the hospital. I am feeling pretty good and Jailynn is doing good with him. Gerry is tired I am sure but he won't admit it. Be looking for those pictures to come though.

I have been so bad at keeping up with this the last month or so. I also didn't take pictures on the camera at Christmas. We took some on our phones though. Jailynn and I spent most of December in Arkansas and then Gerry joined us. We did get some family photos and when I get them I will post some. All of my siblings were there which hasn't happened in a few years. We had a good time and Jailynn loves Nana and Papa. She also loved their hot tub. We knew that she would though. It was cooler there, but not too bad. There wasn't any snow or ice while we were there. We made it back to Phoenix on the 27th. Since then we have been getting for the baby to arrive. Jailynn is now sleeping in a queen size bed and the crib has been moved to a different room. She seems to like the fact that when she wakes up she can just get up and move around the house. We will see how it goes when the baby gets here though. She likes to come in and make sure that we are getting up as well.
