3 KIDS!!!

I survived my first day of having 3 kids today. Omar is 2, Ava is about 5 months and then Jailynn who is 11 months. Yes, this means they are all still in diapers. All I have to say is WOW!!! It wasn't that bad though. Ava is teething so she is fussy at times and Jailynn gets a little jealous when I hold her. Omar is all boy. Throwing toys from one end of the house to the other and then not wanting to pick them up. Go figure. We will see how the rest of the week goes. The first day is always the hardest right? I am just glad that I can help this family as well as them helping us. I will have to take a picture of all three tomorrow. They are a cute bunch.

FUN!!

So today I had some ladies from the ward over for lunch. We have a recipe exchange once a month. The theme was pasta of course....my favorite!! It was fun to get together with the ladies that came. Since Gerry and I serve in primary I do not see some of them very often. In our ward there are quite a few stay at home moms and it still amazes me at how few get together. I know that people have things to do, but I know that everyone eats lunch right. Anyhow....to the ones that did come I am thankful for. Everyone gets nervous when something is at their own house that nobody will show up. At least I get a little nervous about that!! The other part that is fun about getting together with the women in the ward is that the kids can play together and get to know each other as well and not just in a church environment. I have to admit that this is the first recipe exchange that I have been to, but I know that it won't be the last. I am also going to try to go to more of the events that we have in our ward. It is refreshing to get a break from the same daily routine!!!! I know that some of you will agree with that! A big thanks again to those that came and I hope that more will show interest in upcoming events that are planned for the sisters in our ward!!!!

We had another dr. apt. yesterday and everything is looking good with the baby. We are already right at 14 weeks. We get to find out what it is and make sure that all the measurements are good in Sept. I am so excited. After that we will have to pick some names! Not to sure on those yet. We will have to find one be both like. The first one was easy....now for the second.

August Already???

So, Jailynn loves to eat. Here she is with a face to prove it.

Her new favorite thing is to climb and see where she can go. The only problem is that she can't quite get down on her own yet. She is getting there though.

For someone so small, she sure does seem big. To be so close to a year old and not 20lbs yet seems crazy to me. Everyone asks me if she is a year because she is walking. When I say no they seemed shocked like she is the only child that has walked before a year old. She is a very independent little girl though. When she is walking in a public place she wants nothing to do with us. She won't even hold our hand. She tells us to stop already. Even though she can't fully say the word, we know what she is saying and when we say no you stop, she gets quiet. It is funny!!

Well, I am about 12 weeks pregnant now and still feeling tired. Hopefully that will pass. Other than that everything seems to fine. I am sure that we will find out the gender within the next 2 months. Gerry is hoping for a boy this time, but still thinks it will be a girl. We will see though.

We are still waiting to go to the temple, but I know that it will happen shortly. Hopefully we will be able to go in September. At least that is what we are planning for at the moment.

Another week has come and gone....

Gerry got to baptize Sister Velma Simpson on Saturday. It was so neat to see him do this. I love that he is growing within the church and willing to do more and more. I love watching him pass the sacrament and performing his priesthood duties. He has come such a long way and I love him more and more everyday! How lucky I am to have such a wonderful husband who has loved me through all the rough times.

Summer is definately here. I do not like the heat at all. Jailynn and I try to stay in as much as possible. When we do get out it is to go somewhere where there is air conditioning or water. Jailynn loves to go to her gym class each week. It is fun for me to watch her explore and play with the other kids.
Sometimes she will just sit somehwere or be walking around talking away. We have no idea what she is saying, but she thinks she is saying something. It is so funny to just watch her sometimes. She now will dissapear on us and we have to go looking for because when we call her she doesn't respond. When she dissapears that is the only time besides when she is sleeping that she is quiet. I am telling you this girl has so much to say!!!

Well...here we are again. So I am just over 9 weeks pregnant. I had my first dr. appointment this last Friday. The baby is good....it even moved during the ultrasound they did. It is measuring a little smaller than nine weeks, but they aren't going to change the dates just yet. The baby should be due around Feb. 20, 2009. In about 8 - 10 weeks we will find out what it is. I am so excited!! Gerry is hoping for a boy this time. I feel a boy would be nice, but we already have girl stuff....we will see though. Whatever it is, as long as it is healthy we will be happy!!
I think that we are planning on going to the temple at the end of August. That is if all the paperwork is done by then. We are hoping though.

July Already!!!

She loves teddy grahams and gold fish.....and just about anything else you give her!

Ok....so I have been the best blogger lately. I do not remember being so tired when I was pregnant with Jailynn though. Still doing good on the morning sickness though. Some days I do feel extremely drained though. Things are going well around here though. I have my first dr. appt this friday....just a little nervous because I know that they will take some blood and that kind of thing. Oh well...I am sure I will make it. Gerry is doing well also. He will be on leave this next week so we will see if we get to catch up on sleep. I am sure when Jailynn starts sleeping through the night, things will be much better until the next one comes and wants to eat throughout the night. I have seriously tried everything and she just likes to eat during the night. She only gets a bottle during the day when it time for her nap or time to go to bed. Other than that, it is food and other things to drink. I even tried putting her to bed later and it that just meant she woke up at a different time to eat, but the amount of time from sleep to wake was the same. Oh well.....she is just a hungry girl I guess. I finally took a picture of the three of us. I need to start taking more of those. Jailynn actually smiles at the camera now. She does have two teeth one the bottom even though you can't see them. She is also walking by herself now. She has been for about two weeks now. She thinks it is funny to run from Rusty and to chase him with food and tease him with it. I can't believe it is already the middle of July though. This year seems to be going so fast.

Gerry and I are just waiting on paperwork to be processed to be able to be sealed. He also has to go through for himself, but we are not waiting on anything for that. We will let everyone know when though! Thanks to all for the support that you have shown us! We really appreciate it! All in time though. I hope that everyone is doing well! I hope to see some of you soon!!!

Well....I haven't taken any recent pictures. I really need to work on that! Jailynn is trying to walk on her own. She lets go of the couch and just stands there. Sometimes she will take off and fall, but then she laughs at herself and the tries again. At least she doesn't cry when she fall or get discouraged. She likes to get in the pool now. She has a floaty that she will just sit and doesn't mind that either. She is getting quite the attitude though. If you take something away that she is not supposed to have, she throws a huge fit until you can find something else to interest her. Everyone tells me that it probably a good thing that we are having another for this reason. I will try and be better with pictures!!!
